Cineplexes

A culturally rich society, Singapore encourages cinema as an art and in the recent times many companies have invested huge sums of money to establish modern, luxurious and extremely plush multiplex cinemas. Local as well as international movies are encouraged and viewed by public with equal enthusiasm.

The movie tickets are not very expensive making it affordable for all. However the quality of picture and sound is not compromised upon. Digital sound system is a part of every popular multiplex theatre. The sound proof rooms enhance the sound quality of the movie.

Fast food and beverages is an important part of Cinema in Singapore. Stalls selling popcorn, burgers, fries, crackers, nuts and different kinds of beverages are found in abundance near the movie halls.

Some of the movie halls spend a large sum of money on life-size attractive posters. The posters have a significant role to play in attracting people passing by on a hot summer afternoon to step into the hall to watch a movie.

No Josef... we used to have one in the 70s but due to space constraints, and Singapore is a small one, cineplexes is serving our ravenous appetite for movies a lot better. In short, high demand = more cinema screens.
